PSI of 225/75R15 Trailer Tires

Looking to upgrade to 225/75R15, rating E. Or can I go up to D rating tire running the same tire pressure. Will the upgraded tire be the same psi, as I am unsure of the rating of the rim, at this time. Thank you.

The Karrier ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire # AM10303 with a load range of E have a maximum load of 2,830 at 80 psi but these can be a different psi based on the rating of the load rating you want.

For a ST225/75R15 trailer tire with a load rating of D our most popular option is the Provider # TTWTRTM2257515D which has a maximum load of 2,540 lbs at 65 psi. This is a per tire rating, so you would want to get the tires that have a rating which, when you combine them, exceeds your trailer's GVWR.

For example, the Karrier have a 2,830 lb maximum load, so if you have a single axle trailer its GVWR could be no more than 5,660 lbs (2,830 x 2).
