Thule Roof Box Measurements for Fitment on a 2016 Acura MDX

Question:

Thank you John. So if the Front clearance on my MDX is 45 inches, there's no way to reliably fit the Force XT Large without interfering with the liftgate, correct? Looks like my only option is the Pulse Medium which is too bad, becuase that lacks several features I want/like. Hmm....

Attached is a photo of the measurements for mounting the Thule Force XT Rooftop Cargo Box # TH6357B that you referenced.

The front crossbar to rear hatch opening measurement is 47-1/2" while the spacing between the front and back crossbars must be a minimum of 23-5/8" and a max of 36-1/8".

I have also attached a photo that lists all of the mounting measurements for the Thule cargo boxes (current as of January 2019) along with a link to our list of Thule roof cargo boxes to filter through.

If you really like the features of the Thule Force XT # TH6357B then I recommend checking out the Inno Wedge 665 # INBRM665BK. This features 14 cu ft of storage, comes in black, has dual side access, and fits exactly within the 45" measurement on your MDX". The biggest difference between the Wedge 665 and the Force XT is that the Wedge 665 has a glossy finish while the Force XT has a matte type of finish.
