Troubleshooting Lippert Coach Step Clicking Sound When Extending or Retracting All The Way

When my lippert coach step extends or retracts, there is a clicking sound like it is trying to over travel. could this be a motor issue? What stops travel? Is there a limit switch?

The clicking sound you are getting of your coach step seemingly wanting to over extend or over retract is not a motor issue but rather a control module issue. This is basically the brains of the operation and if another item wasn't working correctly you'd know in other ways because the gears would slip. I recommend replacing the Control Module with # LC301702.

I attached a wiring diagram for the Kwikee Step Motor Conversion/Upgrade Kit #LC379145 for you to check out but there isn't a pink wire so maybe you are looking at a diagram for a different motor kit.

The Kwikee 32 Series Double Step part #LC3722617 that you referenced is a replacement for the Coach step you have now. You will have to cut that wire that runs to the old module and splice it to the new module.
