Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Behind a Pickup Truck

Is there a tow bar kit to tow a 2012 Jeep JKU wrangler with. Using a truck to tow and will be on the highway with it. If no kit available what would be needed?

For a complete flat towing setup for your 2012 Jeep JK Wrangler Unlimited you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. Although there aren't any kits that have all of these components in one spot I will list out what you need on this answer page. Just be sure that your pickup is able to tow the weight of your Jeep.
If you have the standard factory bumper on your JKU then I recommend the Demco Tabless Base Plate Kit # DM9519292 which fits everything but the Call of Duty Edition. If you have a different bumper let me know.
Then for a tow bar I recommend the Demco Commander II # DM9511012 which comes with safety cables and enough adjustability that you won't need a separate high-low adapter.
When it comes to wiring I recommend using the Flexo-Coil Wiring kit # RM-15267 if you plan on towing your Jeep fairly often because it is very easy to set up after the initial install. If you only plan on towing your Jeep occasionally then magnetic mounting lights like the Optronics # TL21RK would be the better route to go.
Same thing when it comes to a braking system. For multiple flat towing trips I recommend a fixed system like the Stay-IN-Play DUO # SM99251 (since the tow vehicle has hydraulic brakes) but if you are only going to be towing the Jeep a few times then the Blue Ox Patriot 3 # BLU37TR would be the better route to go. Please note that you will need to install the 12V Outlet Kit # RM-9332 to power the Patriot 3.
