Light Flickers on the Lippert Smart Jack Electric Trailer Jack After Rain
Question:
After a brief rainstorm my jack lights started flashing and the jack light came on. This is a new recalled replaced jack. replace by a RV dealer.

I spoke with Lippert about the issue you are having with your Lippert Smart Jack Electric Trailer Jack part # LC643589 and they informed me that this sounds like an issue with the circuit board. In order to test this you will need to remove the motor cover using the screws at the bottom and then test for power at the switch while power to the light is flipped on and off. If you have power to the switch while the light is off then you know there is an issue with the circuit board and the jack will need to be replaced.
I would also make sure that the new jack you received after the first one was replaced is post recall. On the back of the jack there should be a sticker on the stem with a serial number of SJWP2017-07-0001 or higher. If there is no serial number present or if it is lower than the above then the jack was made prior to the recall.
