Can Reese Slider Hitch Replace Pullrite ISR Superglide Fifth Wheel Hitch

Question:

I have a pull rite 2700 sliding hitch on my short box 2008 Silverado. I bought a new trailer and my lil rocker hitch was needing to be replaced. I was sold the slider and am unhappy with it. Too hard to hitch and unhitch given it has to be at a certain angle etc. I was very happy with my lil rocker. Never a problem, and I never came close to hitting the truck. So the pullrite has to go. I have ISR rails in my truck. Will your pro series hitch or the reese locking jaws hitch work on my rails? I do not want to have to install new rails. I am looking for a fixed hitch I can just put on my current rails.

Since you have the ISR (industry standard rails) installed in the bed of your 2008 Chevy Silverado a Pro Series or Reese hitch would easily fit as they are designed to fit the same rail design. I'd go with the Reese Slider 16k Hitch part # RP30075 which has a tight fitting jaw design and a round tube slider that will operate smoother than a square tube.
