Replace your truck's factory bump stop pads with these thick, durable blocks to get better handling with less sway and body roll.
Features:
The upper factory overload springs on your truck are designed to help compensate for a large payload. When you are hauling a heavy load, your truck's standard leaf springs can't always counteract the weight of it. As a result, if you hit a bump when your suspension is fully loaded, the leaf springs will give and cause your truck to bottom out. The overload springs help keep this from happening by mounting above the leaf springs to provide initial points of contact for your vehicle's frame, thus removing some of the load from the standard springs.
These StableLoads are designed to replace the factory bump stop pads that are mounted to your truck's frame. The factory pads are typically quite small and will not contact the overload springs unless your truck is dramatically sagging. By replacing these small pads with the much larger StableLoads, you can fill the gap between your upper overload springs and your frame-mounted bump stop bracket. This pre-activates the overload springs, ensuring that they are engaged from the start instead of engaging only when extreme sagging occurs.
By enhancing your upper overload springs in the way described above, you will notice less sway and body roll. This is due to the pre-loading effect of the StableLoads, which helps to better distribute the weight of your payload over the entirety of your factory suspension. This is the primary difference between StableLoads and many air bag overload systems.
With air bag suspension enhancement, the load in your truck is being taken on by the air bags. Air bags are designed to level your truck, and they operate as intended when they're under a normal load. But if you are hauling or towing a particularly heavy load, this type of suspension enhancement can create some problems. In order to get the correct amount of leveling and to ensure that your suspension won't bottom out, you will likely have to fill the air bags to a very high psi. Doing this effectively removes the load from your factory suspension. As a result, your truck's suspension is no longer able to operate as it was designed. This can lead to handling issues, such as porpoising, sway, or body roll.
If you currently have this problem with your air bag system, you can add StableLoads to your suspension and get the best out of both products. StableLoads are effective on their own, but they've also been tested with aftermarket air bag suspension systems. The two enhancements work particularly well together if you have a heavy payload. By installing StableLoads between your upper overload springs and your truck's frame, you are already adding support to your suspension to help prevent bottoming out, which air bags work to prevent as well. As a result, you won't have to fill the bags nearly as full, which means that they won't take as much of the load off of your factory suspension, thus allowing your suspension to function as designed - only better.
Tested and Proven Winner
TorkLift's StableLoads were tested against vehicles with no suspension enhancement and vehicles with air bags that were inflated to 100 lbs; and the results are clear. By adding StableLoads to your suspension your vehicle will ride smoother, causing less wear and tear on your suspension and tires. The trucks that were tested were loaded with 2,800 lbs. The degree of movement was then recorded, using an inclinometer, when the trucks encountered the 3 most common types of handling problems: side-to-side sway, porpoising, and body roll.
Side-to-side sway is triggered when your vehicle encounters uneven ground, such as a pot hole, and the suspension gives way when it cannot counteract the weight of the heavy load being carried. This creates a side-to-side bouncing motion. As you can see in the graph above, air bags provide an advantage over no suspension upgrades. But the StableLoads offer dramatic improvement over both the standard suspension and the air bag suspension.
Porpoising is the rising and falling action your vehicle makes when driving over an object like a speed bump. Having too much bounce can make you feel like you're riding in the back of a school bus. As you can see in the graph, there is virtually no difference in porpoising between trucks with standard suspension systems and those with air bags. Only the StableLoad offers improvement for this type of problem.
Body roll occurs when your heavy load transfers unevenly as you navigate a turn, causing one side of your vehicle to lean dramatically. In some cases this can lead to your truck's tires coming off of the ground and it could even cause your vehicle to roll over if it is too top heavy. Again, according to the graph above, air bags offer no help with this problem. It is only with the StableLoads that stability improves.

Replace your truck's factory bump stop pads with these thick, durable blocks to get better handling with less sway and body roll.Leveled out my truck with my 3300lb camper on it. Bringing my overload springs into the action before flattening the main springs.
Etrailer has always delivered great service and quick delivery. My experience with them over the past 8 years has been flawless.
This has worked well for me in helping to level the stance of my truck when carrying the camper.
Another smooth purchase.

These are very simple devises and work as expected.
Really helps with the sway when off the vehicle
WE had to get this exchanged as they sent the wrong bracket. But it didn't take long to get it resolved. Good Job. works great.
Work as advertised

They work very well.
Installed on 2016 GMC Sierra 3500 in around an hour. This has helped so much carry our truck camper. Body roll and bucking have been reduced to almost nothing running around on forest roads and getting into camping spots.

Product still functioning well. Glad I purchased.
These do their job well. We tow a toyhauler, and we'll use it without bringing the toys to camp. When that happens, the tongue of the trailer is pretty heavy, then add 150 gals of fresh water (in front of the axles) and the weight is increased! I installed these on my 2015 GMC 3500HD with 2" level kit in front, and now on those trips, my truck no longer sits lower in the rear, but sits almost level.
I trimmed mine down at a slight angle, as some people we talking about. And the blocks meet the overload springs flatter, and don't engage quite as quick.
Airbags may have a better ride, but these feel nice and solid towing.
I tow a 13800lb fifth wheel with 2016 Chevrolet 3500 dually. Before the truck would sag, now with the TorkLift StableLoad Suspension Upgrade for Upper Overload Springs on it sits level. I do not take them off between towing so the ride is stiff when not towing.
Works like it’s supposed to.
A very user friendly website from product review, research, ordering and tracking to delivery
I haven’t used these with my camper yet (on order) but I’m not happy with these so far. First, why doesn’t Torklift take off the metal tabs instead of making the buyer do it? Wasn’t as easy as they make it sound. Second, I wanted to have a .5 inch gap between the Torklifts and overload spring so I wouldn’t have a rough ride during normal use (recommended by users). For the front bumper, this was not possible during trimming without hitting the metal structure of the bumper. I only have a quarter inch gap in the front....hopefully it will ride OK. Why can’t Torklift manufacture the bumpers to be make/model specific? Trimming these bumpers was a royal PIA. I will post a follow up after the handling performance is evaluated.
I haven't had any problems with these. I have a 2019 3500 Silverado single wheel that I wanted to take advantage of the overload springs without having to put a huge load in the bed. The stock mounts are so far away from the spring. Some may complain about the ride, but its a truck, I'm not concerned about the ride.
I am not seeing that much of a benefit from adding the Stable Lift Suspension upgrade. I still feel like I need to run as much air in my air bag suspension that I previously added to my truck. I do feel my unloaded truck rides much stiffer then before.
All I can write about right now is the installation and fit as it is still April in the Midwest so camping season is still about a month out. I purchased these to help with the body roll I encounter with my 3000# truck camper, and fingers crossed it will make my rig feel that much more stable rolling down the road.
The installation was really straight forward with the supplied instructions. I am not sure if it would have been as easy without the air bags I have installed as I was able to inflate those to 80psi to gain the clearance needed to install. But with the air bags inflated it was as simple as taking the old ones out and bolting in the new ones.
Couple of notes I could add for the manufacturer would be to simply remove the "tabs" on the side of the stops instead of making the customer perform this. Not as simple as they put it in the instructions. Not to mention when you remove these tabs it leaves exposed steel that inevitably will begin to rust. I hit the exposed spots with some cold galvanizing spray but that will only last so long.
The second item I would do is make the grade 8 bolt that mounts the stop an inch shorter as I struggled to be able to get a torque wrench on the front pair without trapping the wrench between the frame and the wheel liner on the truck.
By looking at the installed product I have high hopes that this will help out greatly with having that much payload in the box of my truck and the roll I encounter driving down the road.
Did exactly what I needed it to do. I have a heavy truck camper that gets a lot of sway under certain conditions. These extended overload pads are always engaged so the swaying gets stopped before it has a chance to start. Well built and easy to install. Hard to go wrong with these parts.
Does not work as shipped. Have a 2014 Chevy 3500 & the blocks are to tall. They touch without any weight in bed. This makes your rear suspension feel like its been removed. I called the tech line & they said they should fit but they did not. Brand new truck totally stock. After taking them out & cutting about an inch off with a band saw they work as designed.
Works great, keeps truck level when the 5th wheel rv is hooked up, no sagging.
Great product and very easy to install myself. I haven't had the opportunity to pull my fifth wheel yet, but will soon and looking forward to seeing a difference in the ride.
Product is good but had to cut the tabs off the pads for installation. Most people would not have the tools to do that.

After a year they have performed well and so I dont have to think about my loaded suspension anymore
Great concept but did give the truck a little bit rougher ride
Great product. Works as advertised. Easy to install.
Excellent product, excellent company to do business with
Only because i haven't installed yet , but they seem high quality
