Recommended Parts Needed to Tow with a 2019 Ford Flex
Question:
I want to tow a small trailer with my 2019 Flex. What hitch and wiring do I need? The trailer doesn't have brakes so I'm not concerned about a brake controller, just need the 4 pronged flat connector.

The trailer hitch that I recommend using to tow a small trailer with your 2019 Ford Flex is the Draw-Tite Max-Frame # 75679 which is a confirmed fit for your vehicle.
Then for wiring I recommend the Tekonsha T-One # 118472 because it has the highest amp draw rating out of the available options. This means that if you end up towing a trailer with a fair amount of lights on it you won't overdraw this wiring harness. If you would like to mount this near the receiver then you can use the mounting brackets # 18144 and # 18140 to do so.
To complete your towing setup you also need a ball mount with a hitch ball. For this I recommend using a kit like the Curt # C45152 for a 1-7/8" hitch ball and a 2" rise or the Curt # C45155 for a 2" hitch ball and a 2-1/4" rise with the J-Pin I mentioned above. Be sure to reference the attached ball mount article to ensure that whichever you end up using has the correct drop/rise for your application.
Attached are sample installation videos of the trailer hitch and wiring kit for you to check out as well. It is also beneficial to check your owner's manual for any specific instructions on towing.
