What is the difference between the Curt A16 and the Q16 hitch head?

The head design is slightly different for the A16 hitch # C16120. It's the more recent version of the Q16 that you also mentioned. They made the heads strong enough to be able to be used with a Sidewinder pin box and they upgraded the warranty from 10 year limited to lifetime limited. Also, the Q16 features the 360-degree movement with the spherical axial bearing to improve the pivoting of the hitch head. Another change is the A series jaws overlap whereas the Q series butt up against each other more than overlap. This allows the A Series to have better king pin contact.
