Does the Head Unit of B&W Patriot Lock
Question:
B&W 18 K Patriot - I see there are two handles to release the head. Is there a way to lock or secure the head to the rest of the hitch to keep someone from hopping up in your truck pulling the two handles and geting your 327.00 head in less than 15 seconds?

There is not a locking mechanism for the head unit of the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # BWRVK3255.
You can lock the base of the Patriot to your base rails with the Base Rail Lock # C23256 and to keep the head unit of the Patriot in your possession you can simply lift it out of your truck when you are not towing because as you mentioned that can be done in less than 15 seconds and the head weighs just 52 lbs. You can then store the head wherever you like to keep in safe and sound.
I have added a link to video reviews of both the Patriot and the base rail lock for you to check out.
