Brake Controller Recommendation for 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 Towing Trailer with Hydraulic Brakes

I have a 2006 Dodge 3500 and I would like to know what controller I need. My trailer is a 2006 4star horse trailer and has the Carlisle hba-10 1000 psi unit on it.

The brake controller I'd recommend for your 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 for use with the HydraStar brake kit # HBA-10 is the Prodigy P3 part # 90195 with the quick install harness part # 3020-P. Most brake controllers won't activate electric over hydraulic brake actuators but the P3 has a special setting for that style of brakes so it will work well with them.

This is a proportional brake controller that senses the amount of braking the tow vehicle is applying and applies a proportionate amount to the trailer brakes.
