No Power to 4-Way on 2011 Audi Q5 with Curt Wiring Harness
Question:
I installed the Curt C59236 harness in to my 2011 Audi Q5 as specified in the instructions. However, there is nothing going to the four way flat connector. Nothing works at all. Ive double checked the connections and all seem correct. I have 12v going to the converter directly from the battery. What could be the issue? Thanks

The most common issue we see when using the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter part # C59236 on a vehicle with tail lights in the rear hatch like on your 2011 Audi Q5 is testing the 4-way with the hatch open. If the hatch is open that could very well cut power to the tail lights depending on if you spliced into the set in the bumper or the set in the hatch.
If you have confirmed that you are testing the 4-way with the hatch closed then recheck your ground. The ground will need to be on a bare metal surface with no paint/grease in between. I recommend removing the ground and sanding down the mounting surface before attaching to see if that fixes your problem.
The only other issue I can think of is not splicing into the correct tail lights circuits. In order to make sure you have the correct circuits you would need to use a circuit tester. It does not sound like there is anything wrong with the wiring harness as very rarely would you not get any output whatsoever.
