Hitch Availability For a 2006 Mazda MX-5 Miata
Question:
What hitch for 2006 Mazda MX5
asked by: Luther R
Expert Reply:
The only hitch available for a 2006 Mazda MX-5 Miata is the CURT Class I 1-1/4 Inch Hitch, part # 11028, that you have referenced. It has a gross towing weight capacity of 2,000 lbs and a tongue weight capacity of 200 lbs. The ball mount and pin / clip are included.
If you will be towing with this hitch you will also need either the Tow Ready 1-7/8 Inch Hitch Ball, part # 19256, or Tow Ready 2 Inch Hitch Ball, part # 19258.
For a trailer wiring harness you will need the CURT T-Connector Wiring Harness, part # 56082. This will plug into the back of your taillights and give you a 4-Way trailer connector at the rear of your vehicle.
I am including links to the installation instructions on the hitch and the wiring harness.
