Troubleshooting Curt Trailer Wiring Harness on 2012 Honda Odyssey
Question:
I bought the kit and installed it. Pretty much never used it. After almost 5 year, I tried it without hooking up a trailer. I used a multi meter to test it. I can get current for the running light, but not for the blinker or break. Tested the fuse, it is good. Just want to know what could be the problem.

The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56161 is not a fit for your 2012 Honda Odyssey. It is only a confirmed fit for 2005 to 2010 models.
For your 2012 model, you would need # C56378 which replaced the C56118. If that is the model you have, then I recommend checking the connections behind the driver's side trim panel in the rear cargo area of your Odyssey. Check the pins to ensure there are no bent pins and then make sure the ground connection is bare metal to metal and free of corrosion, debris, or even paint. It is likely that it is a ground connection issue since one function is working and others are not.
I've attached a video to assist. It is always a good option to use dielectric grease # 11755 when connecting harnesses to keep moisture and debris out.
