How to Determine Correct Replacement Axle
Question:
My spindle must have broken because one of the tires is tilted and the top of the tire is rubbing against the frame of the trailer. I need a new axle including the spindles. I cannot just replace the spindle, correct ?

While it may be possible to just replace the spindle, we do recommend replacing the entire axle if the spindle has broken. In order to do this you will need to know the dimensions of your current axle's hub-face to hub-face and spring center to spring center as in the diagram I have added; the other thing you need to know is the weight capacity of the axle you need, which should exceed the GVWR of your trailer.
For example, the CE Smith Trailer Axle w/ Idler Hubs # CE33201GA-HUB measures 57-1/2 inches from hub-face-to-hub-face and 46-1/2 inches from spring-center-to-spring-center with an 1,800 lb capacity.
I've added a link to our selection of axles for you to check out, or if you get back to me with that information I'd be happy to try and find something that will work for you.
