Why wont the kit fit the regular 3500 pickup model with the truck bed?

For the 2001 Dodge Ram 3500 pickup we do have rear axle air spring kits.

Air Lift rear axle kit # AL57215 fits both 2WD and 4WD versions of the 2001 Dodge Ram 3500 pickup, but please note this kit is not compatible with an in-bed 5th wheel or gooseneck hitch. We also offer kit # AL88215 for your truck which features air springs that have a built-in jounce bumper as backup in case of an air leak. This kit also does not work with in-bed hitches.

Firestone kit # F2220 fits the 2WD and 4WD versions of the 3500 cab-and-chassis but does not fit the pickup due to clearance issues.
