Thank you for the photo of your older Yakima hitch bike rack for which you want to confirm the fit of replacement shank/tongue assembly # 8880580.

Yakima confirmed the fit of this part on your rack. You may also need Hitch Bolt # 8890200 to secure the shank to your hitch.

I also went to our warehouse and took a number of measurements that should give you what you need to verify that this part will work on your rack. The linked photo indicates the hole diameters, hole spacing and inside and outside bracket dimensions.

I am also hoping to use 8880580 on an older HoldUp. The correct full assembly is #8880127 but it is nowhere to be found anymore. Is this tongue likely to be a correct fit for the silver HoldUp spine? Right now I'm using an 2->1.25" adapter, but since I bought a heavy electric bike I hope to have a direct fit to my 2" receiver.

Yes, the Replacement Shank # 8880580 will work on your older HoldUp - it just doesn't include the platform itself like the full 8880127 assembly that you mentioned (which is no longer made by Yakima).
