Determining if Curt Gooseneck Hitch Will Fit 2006 GMC Sierra Short Bed with Transfer Tank
Question:
Will this still work in my short bed even if i have a L shape fuel transfer tank and tool box?

The center of the hitch ball for the Curt Double Lock Flip and Store Gooseneck Hitch # C60712 will be located 35 inches back from the cab of your 2006 GMC Sierra with the short bed. Since the ball shank requires a 4 inch diameter hole to be drilled into the bed you can subtract 2 inches from this measurement to see where the front edge (toward the cab) of the hole will be. What you can do is take this measurement (33 inches) out from the back of your cab to make sure there won't be interference with your existing transfer tank and tool box.
This particular gooseneck hitch is otherwise confirmed to fit your short bed Sierra and features a 30,000 pound towing weight capacity.
