Tire Chain Recommendation for 2017 Ram 2500 with Tire Size 285/60-20
Question:
Hi there - wanted to see what chains you would recommend for my 2017 RAM 2500 4x4. Tires are 285/60-20. I found several online and am debating between the TC3229CAM and others that look like they are designed for my truck. The one noted is corrosion proof and look heavier duty that the others that came up in the search. Also if I do get those noted do the TCMA3 required? Thanks

For your tire size of 285/60-20 the Glacier tire chains part # TC3229CAM that you referenced are a confirmed fit. These use twist links which provide a bit smoother of a ride quality. These are made from low carbon steel so they won't last quite as long as the Pewag Chains part # PWE3231S which are also a fit. These are made from Nickel manganese alloy steel which is much stronger and are reversible so they will last quite a bit longer. These are also square links which will do best in deep snow.
