Can the Curt Gooseneck Flat Plate 65500 be Installed Directly on the Frame Rails

Can you just bolt this to the frame rails on my cab and chassis ?

The Curt Gooseneck Flat Plate part # C65500 is 48" long x 13" wide. If the frame rails on your cab and chassis will allow for you to bolt the plate directly to them then yes, this is possible though it would not allow for the maximum gross trailer weight rating.

You would need to have a professional welder or shop fabricate underbed reinforcements which are required to reach the maximum GTW rating of 30K lbs.
