Solution for Removing Vibration from Roadmaster Spare Tire Carrier
Question:
Good Day, I have the Roadmaster Spare Tire Carrier 195225 mounted on the front of my RV using a Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver. #65053 My concern is that while I am going down the road at certain speeds I can see the tire and mount vibrating left to right. All hardware is tight, including the front hitch to the frame. I am not comfortable with this situation. Is there an issue with this?? How can this be fixed? See pictures attached.

I spoke to my contact at Roadmaster and he sent me this in response:
There is going to be a little bit of side-to-side play in the unit due to the tolerances between the hitch and the stinger of our tire carrier. There is no concern about there but can be annoying especially since it is on the front where you can see it. With that provided hitch bolt nice a snug, you could try using our quiet hitch part # RM-061 to help tighten up the stinger a little more. The last option would be to use some straps from the upper part of the carrier (or the rim) down to the bumper to help prevent it from moving side-to-side. For that we have the Curt Stabilizer strap part # 18050.
