I need brake controller for 2001 Jeep Wrangler. Need info. on installation,wiring adapters,or install kits?

To install a brake controller on your 2001 Jeep, you will first need the T-1 Connector, part # 118409 if your Jeep does not already have a 4-way trailer connector. You will also need the Brake Controller Installation Kit, part # ETBC6 if you need a 6-way trailer connector, or part # ETBC7 if you need the 7-way. The install kits contain everything necessary for installing a brake controller on your vehicle. Finally, you will need to choose a brake controller. I would recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy, part # 90885. The Prodigy is one of our best selling brake controllers. It is very easy to use and set up.

If you have the caution screen that says power loss on it then this means that the power to the controller is being interrupted while braking. This is most likely an issue on the black power wire for the controller and how it attaches to the truck.…
