Recommended Suspension Enhancement and Weight Distribution for 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan
Question:
I have a 2018 Dodge grand caravan and am towing a camper trailer. I have some sag and was wondering what suspension upgrade I should use. Also I would like a weight distribution system to stop any sway. What do I need?

Adding a rear suspension enhancement system and weight distribution system is going to vastly improve your towing experience so it is a great idea to use both on your 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan.
The rear suspension enhancement I recommend for you is the Timbren # TDVRRT because they will help improve your handling and work independently to reduce body roll when turning. Our customers who have used the Timbrens regard them extremely highly, with well over 1,000 reviews giving them a nearly 5-star rating as you can see on the product page. This system will also not affect your normal, unloaded ride and are very simple to install; I've added a link to an installation video for you to check out which shows this.
As for a weight distribution system, this is going to be what will reduce sag and stop your trailer from swaying. In order to choose the correct weight distribution system for your '18 Grand Caravan and camper you will first need to know your total tongue weight (TTW), which is the tongue weight of your fully loaded and ready to go trailer plus the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of your Grand Caravan.
The tongue weight is typically between 10% and 15% of your trailer's GVWR but you'll want to verify it by using a scale such as the etrailer scale # e99044 or by using one of the methods outlined in the help article on determining tongue weight I've linked for you. From there, simply add on the weight of the cargo behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle and you'll have your TTW. The ideal system would be one in which your TTW would fall somewhere in the middle of the weight distribution system's tongue weight capacity.
For example, if your TTW was 450 lbs you would want the Equal-i-zer # EQ37060ET, which is for TTW between 200 lbs and 600 lbs. Or if your TTW was 700 lbs you will want the Equal-i-zer # EQ37100ET which is for TTW between 600 lbs and 1,000 lbs.
I strongly recommend the Equal-i-zer weight distribution systems because it prevents sway instead of just manages it via 4 points of sway control via friction in the spring bars. It also uses clamp-on brackets (as you can see in the accompanying photo) so you won't have to drill along your trailer frame, and allows you to back up with the system on.
This system comes with everything you need for installation though it is recommended you use thin-walled socket # EQ70-00-4800 to help install the hitch ball. I've added a link to a video review of this system for you to check out as well.
