Brake Controller Compatibility with Electric Over Hydraulic Brakes
Question:
DOES THIS BRAKE CONTROLLER WORK WITH TRAILERS THAT HAVE ELECTRIC OVER HYDRAULIC BRAKES?

Expert Reply:
The Pilot 2-6 Brake Electronic Brake Controller - Time Delayed # 80550 has not been tested by the manufacturer to work with Electric Over Hydraulic brakes. Most time delayed controllers are not a fit for the EOH systems. The Curt Venturer # C74VV and the Hayes Engage # HA81760 are the only two the manufacturer states will work with EOH, but I honestly wouldn't recommend either for that use.
I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 # 90885 or P3 # 90195 for the best operation with an EOH system. These controllers even have an EOH mode in their settings.
