Is Underbody Panel Re-Installed After Mounting etrailer.com Hitch # E98853 on 2011 Toyota Sienna
Question:
The photos look great- but the plastic panel underneath the floor and the bumper cover fasteners along the bottom which originally snapped to the cover panel...are those not used with this installation or is the plastic cover panel trimmed to fit the hitch and put back on after the hitch is installed? Can that panel be put back in place after the hitch is installed?

When installing the etrailer.com Class III Trailer Hitch # E98853 on your 2011 Toyota Sienna you will need to trim a small portion of the underbody panel to allow room for the receiver but the panel itself will be re-installed after the hitch is in place. I have attached a couple of images to clarify this; one of the underbody panel with the hitch installed on a 2011 Toyota Sienna and another from the installation instructions that show exactly what will be trimmed.
I have attached the complete written instructions that you can also check out.
