Snow Chain Recommendation for 2019 Subaru Forester Sport
Question:
Hi, I will be driving through roads covered in snow and ice and I am in need for tore chains. I just looked at my car’s owner’s manual and it says “tore chains cannot be used due to lack of clearance between tires and vehicle body.” It also says that when tore chains cannot be used another type of traction device such as spring chains may be acceptable if use on your vehicle is recommended by the device manufacturer, taking into account tire size and road conditions. It says to make sure that any traction device I use is an SAE class S device and to use it only on front wheels. What do I do? Which chains do I buy and do I have a guarantee there is enough clearance for my particular vehicle? Do I only put them on front wheels? Please, help! Thank you.

I have a great solution for the tires of your 2019 Subaru Forester Sport that are either 225/60-17 or 225/55-18. We have the Konig K-Summit tire chains # TH02230k45 which are a confirmed fit and offer the best clearance you can get from winter weather traction device. Since these do not go over the inside shoulder of the tire when installed they do not require any clearance at all and are the perfect solution for snow chains on a vehicle like yours where clearance is limited. I attached a picture that shows what the inner sidewall of the tire looks like for you to check out as well.
