What Causes Tires to Wear on the Outside Edge of One Axle

If you are experiencing wear on the outer edges of the tires on the front axle of your trailer then this points to signs of the tires being under-inflated or the spindles are bent. When filling trailer tires, you need to fill them to the max psi listed on the sidewall while cold. This is going to allow for proper tread wear and for the tire to maintain the max weight capacity.
If you have checked the psi of the tires and can ensure that they are filled accordingly, I would also make sure the load range rating of the two front tires matches that of the two rear tires. If they were different then this could then cause the front tires to wear faster than the rear tires.
If you haven't already, I recommend taking the trailer to a local mechanic who specializes in trailers and have them look over the axle, spindles, and suspension components on your trailer to make sure they are in working order. The leaf springs could be worn more so on the front axle than the rear axle which would also cause uneven wear between the two.
If you can let me know the size of tires you have on your trailer and the estimated gross trailer weight of the trailer I would be happy to recommend some replacements or I have attached a list of our options below.
