How to Use Bike Rack in 3 inch Trailer Hitch of 2017 Ford F-350
Question:
I recently purchased this item. It works perfectly on my wifes suv AND on our rv. Thank you. I was just assuming it would also work in my 2017 f350 which is equipped with the 3 inch receiver opening. Even with the adapter sleeves in the opening to accommodate the 2 inch bike rack, the bolt that secures the rack bar to the receiver is just too short. Do you know of a longer bolt option, or would I need to purchase another bicycle rack better suited for this application? Thank you

What you need is the Buyer's Products part # 337RTA302 which fits your 3 inch hitch and gives you a 2 inch hitch for the bike rack to fit. This slides into your 3 inch hitch and then gives you a 2 inch hitch that sticks out a bit from the 3 inch hitch opening. This allows the bike hitch pin to work normally since essentially the rack is attaching to a 2 inch hitch like it is designed for.
You'll need a pin for the adapter in the 3 inch hitch; use # 37201065 for a pin or # 63259 for a lock.
