Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch for 2019 Ford F-250 Short Bed and Trailer with MORryde Orbital Pin Box
Question:
I have a 2019 Ford F-250 6-3/4 foot bed with the pucks. My trailer will have the Morryde Orbital pin box. What hitch do you recommend?

Since the fifth-wheel trailer you plan on pulling is equipped with the MORryde Orbital Pin Box you don't need to have a sliding hitch that would typically be needed on short bed trucks like your 2019 Ford F-250 so that you can have the required cab clearance during tight turns. This is because the Orbital Pin Box will move the pivot point back from the king pin to provide this clearance.
With this in mind, the hitch I recommend for your 2018 Ford F-250 that is equipped with the factory puck system is the fixed Curt A25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16036. I really like this hitch because it features an interlocking 2-jaw system to provide 360-degree jaw-to-king-pin contact. What this will do other than provide you with a more secure connection with the trailer is allow for a much smoother ride with less rattle and noise. Its fully articulating torsion head will also suppress road shock and make for easier hookup with the trailer. It will drop right into the factory pucks on your F-250 without the need for an additional adapter piece. The hitch has a 24,000 pound towing weight capacity.
I have attached a short video demonstration that you can also check out.
