Recommended Sewer and Gray Water Connections for RV Permanent Location with In-Ground Tanks

Question:

I have my rv set up permanently and want to use two sewer hoses from the rv. I realize I need a y fitting to attach to the camper. I want to dump my black water tank in one tank I have installed in the ground and my gray water in another. I would love to leave two hoses hooked up all the time. I need a yinch fitting with manual shutoff. Is there such a thing?

For a permanent connection if you want the wye fitting you mentioned like the Double RV Waste Valves - Elbow - Rotating - 3" and 1.5" Hubs to 3" Spigot # T81 and then the Double RV Waste Valves - Elbow - Rotating - (2) 3" Spigots to 3" Hub # T85B. The actual manual handles will give you the manual shutoff you are seeking and they can be rotated so they don't come in contact with the other handles when installed together.

It is recommended to use PVC instead of hoses for as much length as possible and then you can use the Valterra ABS Solvent Cement - 1/4 Pint # A05-0303 for the connection between the ABS parts and you can use the Valterra Hose Adapter w/ 3" Bayonet and Swivel Lug Fitting - Black # F02-2029VP you asked from if you need to add flexible hose and bayonet fittings or to connect the PVC.

Another option is to replace the Wye fitting and run the two lines completely separately. For the gray water you can use the Valterra Waste Valve for RV Gray Water Tank - 1-1/2" Diameter - Hub to Hub # T1001B and for black-water the Valterra RV Sewer Slip Hub with Flange - 3" # T1005. For permanent setups with separate tanks, the more basic with PVC pipe is the route I recommend. This will allow you to use basic elbows and pipe to give you the single manual valve for each tank and will take the possibility of getting any black water in the gray water tank.
