Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Shows Trailer Attached When Not Connected

My brake controller sometimes when I turn my truck on goes to the home menu as if I am attached to trailer and I am not. And when at the non attach trailer screen, it doesnt recognize that I am attached.

In regards to the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90195, this sounds like you have a short on the blue brake output wire that runs from the brake controller back to each braking assembly. You will need to trace this wire back checking for breaks while paying special attention to the trailer connectors. It may also be necessary to replace the wire all together with part # 10-1-1 if no breaks are found.
