Rooftop Cargo Box Compatibility with Rhino-Rack Platform Rack

I have a Rhino-Rack platform. I would like to attach my Yakima Skybox to it. What adapters do I need?

Expert Reply:
I reached out to my contact at Rhino-Rack and because of the way that the traditional roof boxes mount like the Yakima SkyBox NX 16 Rooftop Cargo Box # Y95AV the hardware won't be able to fit to the crossbars on the underside of the platform. Because of this, you will need an accessory bar for the top of the platform for the roof box hardware to hold.
If you have the 4 plank platform like # RR44100B you will use the Accessory Bars for Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform Rack - 48" Long # RR43137B and if you have the 5 plank like # RR44101B you will use the 53" long # RR43138B.
