Are the Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs Rust Resistant
Question:
I have had another brand of air bags where the metal components rusted - especially the air filler ends where the nut and valve were solid rust in less than 2 years. What type of metal is used on these, specifically the valves and nuts? Is there a stainless option like another brand? I have a 2018 Ram 2500 and live in NY so rusting is a concern.

The Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs part # F2706 which are a fit for your 2018 Ram 2500 come with powder coated brackets, zinc plated hardware, and brass fittings/valves which means you should have zero issues with rust. I spoke to my contact at Ride Rite and they said this is the same kit they sell in Canada. They do not offer any upgraded components as everything has already been fitted for maximum protection.
