Axle Spacing When Using Slipper Spring Equalizer Kit # APT6SE with 26 inch Long Leaf Springs

Question:

Hi. I am fixing to order this suspension kit for what you guys seem to call flat end slippers. 2inch wide 26inch long from center of eye to end and no hooks. The eye has 5/8inch ID bushings pressed into rubber. Aside from having to drill the eye hole out to 5/8 will the flat end still work with these hangers? Also I torched one of the serrated bolts before I realized they where special, do you have any? And do you have any idea what my axle spacing might be? Trailer had 9.50x16.5 tires running about 2inch apart with equalizer thats 4 3/4inch from center hole to rear spring eye. I will most likely swap to 235/85r/16. Thanks again

Based on your leaf spring length the axle spacing you'd have with the hanger kit part # APT6SE would be right at 33 inches. This kit is designed for use with 9/16 inch bolts like the # 166079 and we would not recommend drilling out the kit to fit a wider bolt.
