Boat Trailer with L44649 Bearings and 1.24 Inch I.D. Grease Seals

Question:

My spindle has a diameter of 1.06inch where the bearings ride, but 1.24inch where the inner grease seal fits. FWIW, its a very light weigh boat trailer with 4.80-8 wheels that have integral hubs. I want to replace them with proper hubs and traditional wheels. thanks

The spindles you have on your boat trailer are not standard which means we do not have a trailer hub with the correct bearings and seals you need. The best option for you would be to just replace the bearings with part # L44649 and seals with part # 34823 as I am sure it would be difficult to find such an odd hub.

However, if you absolutely want to replace the integrated wheel/hub with an idler hub then you would need to replace the spindle with something like part # TRU44FR which would then allow for a standard hub like part # AKIHUB-440-2-2K. Please keep in mind that the new spindle will need to be installed by a qualified welder with experiencing in replacing spindles.

I have attached our tire/wheel combos with a 4 on 4" bolt pattern for you as well.
