Will the Yakima HoldUp Bike Rack # Y02443-2 Fit a 2014 Jeep Wrangler with a Spare Tire
Question:
I have a 2014 4 Door Jeep Wrangler with a Spare tire. Will the Yakima HoldUp work on it? If not do you have any other recommendations? I need it to fit 3 bikes all adults and would prefer a platform model for stability reasons.

The Yakima HoldUp # Y02443-2 is an excellent bike rack! Although I don't know off-hand if it is compatible with the spare tire on your 2014 Jeep Wrangler I can give you some distances that you can use to determine fitment on your end.
From the center of the hitch pin hole to the nearest part of the rack is 12" when the bikes are on the rack. When the rack is empty and folded, it is 7" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest part of the rack.
If you need more room, take a look at the Saris Freedom # SA4414B. It is a 4-bike platform rack that has a distance of 13-1/2" when in use and 10 " when folded. You would want to consider locks # SA981 and # SA3022 to secure the rack and the bikes.
If you don't already have a trailer hitch on your Wrangler then I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13392. when we installed this on a 2014 Jeep Wrangler we found that from the center of the hitch pin hole to the rearmost part of the bumper measured about 1/2".
