Can Trailer be Swapped to LED Taillights Without Issues
Question:
Can I switch my boat trailer lights over to LED lighting system when my tow vehicle has incandescent bulbs? Is there anything I have to do special to do this switch?

Helpful Expert Reply:
All you have to do is swap the incandescent bulbs with LED replacement assemblies. Your tow vehicle would not have a problem at all with this switch. In fact, it actually would thank you if it could since now the trailer wiring will draw a fraction of the amperage it once did.
So an LED taillight kit like the part # TLL9RK would come with everything you'd need. New assemblies, wiring and connectors.
