Is the Pilot Brake Light Trailer Hitch Receiver Cover Supposed to Blink with Turn Signals

Bought this CR-007 to replace the identical one that was crushed when someone ran into my hitch. Now my replacement will blink when the turn signals are on. Since the one was crushed could it have somehow screwed up my wiring or could this just be a defective light?

The Brake Light Trailer Hitch Receiver Cover for 2" Trailer Hitches # CR-007, is working correctly. It will blink when the right turn signal is on. If you look at the 4-Way on the light, you will see that it has a white, brown, yellow, and green wire.

The #CR-007G that you referenced will only activate with the stop lights or hazard lights. It will not activate with the blinker circuits. The small black box you see in the wiring is a converter that allows that.
