If you don't have a tow package or a connector at the rear of your 2011 Ford E-350 then you will need to start off by installing a 4-Way. I recommend the Tekonsha T-One # 118551 which gives you basic trailer light functions and draws power directly from your battery. Depending on how you route the power wire to the battery you may need some additional wire with part # 12-1-1 and connectors with part # 05732-2.

Once you have a 4-Way installed (or if you already have a 4-Way installed) you need the Universal Wiring Kit # ETBC7. This connects to your 4-Way and comes with all of the wiring and connectors needed for a fully functional 7-Way although you may need some additional wiring with part # 10-2-1 since your van is a bit longer than most vehicles.

The final step is actually connecting your brake controller to your wiring. I highly recommend going with the Prodigy P3 # 90195 which is a proportional controller, meaning it applies your trailer brakes at the same time and with the same intensity as the brake pedal in your van. Blue - 7-Way Output to Trailer
Black - 12V Power
White - Ground
Red - COLD Side of Stop Light Switch (only gets hot when brake pedal is pressed)
