Troubleshooting Trailer wish Surge Brakes that Slams When Stopping and Starting
Question:
Is there any other parts in the tongue where the actuator?? Im thinking just replacing the actuator is not going to stop the trailer from slamming in to my truck and when u pull away feels like my trailer hitch is going to get torn off. Thanks

Sounds like you have a bad shock in the surge actuator of your trailer based on what you described. The actuator part # T1607500 is a Model 10 and if this is what you have then the correct shock replacement is the # T1242600.
