Coupler Recommendation for 12k Boat Trailer with 3 inch Wide Frame and 2-5/16 inch Hitch Ball

Question:

Im adding a Hydrastar electric over hydraulic system to my EZLoader, triple axle, disc brake boat trailer. My boat and trailer weigh about 12000 lbs. I have a 2and5/16 ball. I want to remove my surge controller and replace it with a straight tongue. My boat frame is 3inch wide by 5inch tall. What would you recommend?

We have the Decmco Channel Coupler part # DM13203-95 which would work well for a bolt on option. This fits 3 inch wide channel, is designed to fit a 2-5/16 inch ball like you have and has an 18k capacity.

For a similar weld-on coupler we have the part # DM12662-97 which comes primed for paint as well. Either would be a great solution for use with the Hydrastar part # HBA16 you are planning on installing.
