How to Tell If You Have a Ducted Air Conditioning System
Question:
How can I tell the difference between a non ducting system and one that has ducting
asked by: Jody
Expert Reply:
Does the air from your air conditioning system blow straight down from the unit or to a vent in the wall? If it blows straight down then you have a non-ducted system but if it blows through a vent in the wall then you have a ducted system.
The Advent Air Rooftop RV Air Conditioner part # ACM135C that you referenced is for a non-ducted system. If you do have a ducted system then you will want to use the Atwood Air Command Rooftop RV Air Conditioner part # AT15027-22 instead. These unit's are both rated at 13,500 BTU's but we do have 15,000 BTU units available if needed.
