Recommended Weight Distribution System with Integrated Sway Control for 2000 Cabana Camper
Question:
I have a 2014 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner with tow package rated at 6,500 tow capacity and Im pulling a 2000 cabana which when loaded might reach 3,200lbs. Im all for safety but I dont want to add things that arent going to benefit me. Do I need a weight distribution hitch and or sway control? Thanks

For your 2014 Toyota Tacoma and your 2000 Cabana Camper, I recommend weight distribution with integrated sway control. Sway will be the bigger issue for you with a light camper and design of your camper. The best sway control is integrated into the weight distribution systems because it keeps pressure on dispersed weight. I've attached an article to further assist.
You don't need to get the best to receive most of the benefits, so I recommend the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control # FA92-00-0600. With this system you will also need a hitch ball like # A-90 for a 2 inch ball or # EQ91-00-6100 for a 2-5/16 inch diameter ball. You will also need a socket like # ALL643216 to install the ball.
This will be far better than a friction sway bar like # 17200 and bracket # RP26003 which not only won't work as well, but also doesn't allow backing up with the system installed.
