75214 i was sent this part #, and it was about 5/8inch to narrow.// said it would fit.

Trailer hitches can bend and flex a little in the shipping process and that is likely what has occurred with the hitch you received, # 75214. This hitch is indeed a fit for the 2015 to 2018 Ford Edge SE, SEL, and Titanium.
The hitch can be flexed back into position relatively easily. I have included a link to our help article that covers exactly this issue and how to correct it.
