Draw-Tite vs Eco-Hitch for 2018 Subaru Outback
Question:
Hi, I have been looking for a Class 3, 2, concealed cross tube trailer Hitch for Outback 2018 3.6R and am considering the Draw-Tite # 76227 I want to be able fit Thule T2 Pro XTR bike Rack # TH69TX on the hitch and have enough room for bumper clearance when folded up. Through Q and A forum I understand that the Thule T2 only has 5 inches from hitch pin hole to nearest part of rack when folded. What is the distance from hitch pin hole to the furthest edge of the bumper for Draw-Tite # 76227 on Outback 2018 ?? and will it be enough to fit T2 and able to fold it up without hitting the bumper on Outback ?? I likr the price, strength, durability and the weight capacity of the Draw-Tile 76227, as long as it is the fit for Thule T2 and be able to fold up. Your expert opinion will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

All 2-inch hitches we offer for your 2018 Subaru Outback Wagon appear on the page I linked for you and these of course include the Draw-Tite # 76227. This hitch has a MUCH more involved installation process than other options we offer. This hitch requires removal of the rear bumper so that the hitch mounting plates can go in between the bumper and the rest of the vehicle. It is rated for a tongue weight of 600 lbs.
I went to our warehouse and measured the hitch. The Draw-Tite # 76227 is a great choice for use with the Thule T2 # TH69TX.
