when wiring p-3 using supplied harness for vehicle is inline fuse needed wiring p-3 to 2017 silverado

If you are using the blunt cut wires on the harness that comes with the P3 # 90195 then you will want to use a 30 amp circuit breaker # PK54230 for the black hot lead coming from your battery to your brake controller. You can use # 12-1-1 wire sold by the foot for that connection. If you will be hardwiring this controller to a 7-way, I recommend kit # 5506.
Because you stated you have a 2017 Silverado, I recommend instead using the custom wiring harness # 3016 which will be a plug and play harness from your vehicle into this brake controller. I've attached a similar install for you to assist.
