That's great news. Your best option then will be the B and W Companion Slider hitch part # BWRVK3400 which will fit your B and W hitch you already have installed to give you a slider hitch that is considered by most to be the nicest option on the market. It will be much more stable than an adapter too so the ride quality issue you mentioned will be greatly improved. Since you have a short bed truck you'll need a slider hitch like this so that you can make tight turns.
