Can the Curt Trailer Hitch Part # C13383 Be Used to Carry 4 Bikes on a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica

Question:

I just bought this hitch for my minivan, but would like to confirm some things. Can it handle a 4 bike Thule hitch rack? Will it affect the minivans warranty? I dont plan on towing anything. Do I need any other parts to install it one of the questions mentioned a strap?

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13383 which is a fit for your 2018 Chrysler Pacifica will indeed be able to carry four bikes on any bike rack that has a 2" shank assuming you are within the weight capacity of both the bike rack and hitch/vehicle whichever is lower.

The Curt Cam Buckle Stabilizing Strap part # 18050 that you mentioned is not required but it is also not a bad idea as it will help support the bike rack with bikes. This is going to create less stress on the hitch/vehicle. The only other thing I recommend is a hitch cover like part # C22272 as this is going to protect the hitch while the bike rack is not in use.

There will be no warranty issues installing this hitch on your vehicle as you will be protected by the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act (P.L. 93-637). I have attached a review video to better show you why the strap is a good idea.
