EOH actuators do differ in their response time. From the moment you press the brake pedal the time needed for the pump in the EOH actuator to build hydraulic pressure and push that through your brake lines, through the T fittings, and to your disc brakes can easily be as much as 2 seconds. Longer trailer brake lines and more axles with brakes both can mean the time can be slightly longer for pressure to reach all of the calipers and for you to feel the trailer slowing down.

The Dexter DX actuator # K71-651 is compatible with some aftermarket and OEM-integrated electric brake controllers on the market but my contact at Dexter indicated that they do not consider it compatible with your GM controller. Use of the # HBA-CAM wiring adapter is one possible solution but it does not always work.

The sure-thing solution is to replace the brake controller with an aftermarket unit like the Prodigy P3 # 90195 which works fine with EOH actuators. This is actually a better solution than using the wiring adapter.
