Can you recommend a lock pin for a Kuat transfer 2 bike rack attached to a Draw Tite 1 1/4 class 1 hitch used on a 2017 Prius?

Kuat has their own lock part # HL1 that is recommended for use with their racks like the Kuat Transfer that are installed in 1-1/4 inch hitches like the Draw Tite part # 24966 you have installed on your 2017 Toyota Prius.

I called and spoke with my contact at Kuat. He stated that the Bike Rack Hitch Lock for 1-1/4 Inch Racks, #HL1, is made of stainless steel. That would include the 5/16 inch diameter pin and the lock itself. There are no plastic pieces on the lock or…

It would be too dangerous to use the Curt Extender #C45796 with a dual receiver like that as it would put too much movement on all of the different parts and extenders like this cut your tongue weight in half so your Tacoma would be overloaded.…

It's not a great idea to go with a thinner hitch lock but we have the collar hitch aligner part #e98942 which would help you get the exact same alignment everytime so that you can keep using your current hitch lock.
